Tabakoshi: Relatively unknown to tourists as it is still virgin offbeat place in district of Darjeeling. Tabakoshi is probably the most off beat village destination surrounded by Orange Garden and Tea Garden in North Bengal. There is orange garden all around the area and surrounding village. Mainly for orange garden in the area of Karnabir, Bahadur gaon, Sunakhaman village etc, visit to this hamlet is strongly recommended!!!

Half day orange garden tour in Tabakoshi an offbeat Darjeeling village is an Unforgettable tour and hike we have experienced to orange garden , we also visited the surrounding village guided by Mr. Vijay Subba (Owner of Tea Village). He was excellent to explain about orange plantation and history of tea plantation that was of 1870. He showed us Nagri Tea estate factory and tea bungalow which was built in 1935. Now the villagers are starting Coffee plantation in this area. We have also visited Pokhrriabung market in this area.
Best time to visit Tabakoshi for orange is in December and January. We have seen green orange in October by end of December and January it become yellow garden in Tabakoshi valley. The place for rest for few days we had walking tour in river valley and the Lord Shiva Temples, Lord Bishnu temple, Bamboo bridge on Rangbhang river.
We have stayed in TEA VILLAGE home stay. It is likely our home. We had memorable stay in the home stay by 13 members with two Senior citizens and 3 children’s. We received a hearty and warm welcome from the owner Mr. Vijay Subba, his wife. brother and other members with due care in 24 hours. We have taken Pine tree room, Stone room and Concrete room. We never feel to stay out of home. They served excellent and sufficient food, Hot breakfast and dinner cooked by Mrs. Subba and his family. You can pass the day in siting in the balcony in front of hills and Rangbang river.
Definitely I will recommend my friend and relative circle to visit in this hidden valley Tabakoshi and tea village Homestay.
